Indonesia: Engine room fire causes flooding

the Noah Satu

suffered a fire in its engine room while in the Java Sea. The captain issued a distress signal off the coast of Tuban, East Java. The dry cargo ship was making a voyage to the port of Chivandan with a cargo of corn. The coast guard rescued the captain and chief engineer, and 12 crew members were evacuated to the tug. One sailor suffered minor burns in the fire and was taken to hospital.
